Antenna is used as a transceiver element in cellular telephony.
Its features are:
• Attractive cost-to-performance ratio
• High adaptability to manufacture
• Wide operating range in each of frequency bands
• High uniformity of radiation pattern in horizontal plan
• High impact strength, temperature stability, and moisture
resistance
• Ease of mounting and connection.

MOUNTING OF ANTENNA
|
|
Antenna features a very simple mounting procedure.
It is easily fixed with onto a mounting plate (see sketch).
The PCB with 50 Ω feeding microstrip line on it has a metal screen
at its opposite side, which extends to the lower edge of the mounting
spot. Antenna is soldered to 50 Ω microstrip line with the
use of a connection strap.
