Antenna is used as a transceiver
element in cellular telephony. Its features are:
• Attractive cost-to-performance ratio
• High adaptability to manufacture
• Wide operating range in each of frequency bands
• High uniformity of radiation pattern in horizontal plan
• High impact strength, temperature stability, and moisture
resistance
• Ease of mounting and connection.

MOUNTING OF ANTENNA
|
|
Antenna features a very simple mounting procedure. It is easily
fixed with onto a mounting plate (see sketch). The PCB with 50 Ω
feeding microstrip line on it has a metal screen at its opposite
side, which extends to the lower edge of the mounting spot.
Antenna is soldered to 50 Ω microstrip line with the use of
a connection strap.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
|
| Dual-band dielectric antenna is designed
for the use in EGSM 900 and GSM 1800 cellular telephony networks.
It provides automatic roaming between those communication systems. |
| At both working frequencies, antenna performs
of about 5% operating range, what ensures the high operation stability
of its parameters. |
 |
 |
|
Antenna demonstrates high uniformity of radiation
pattern in horizontal plane.
|
 |
 |
|
Antenna vertical-plane radiation has a pattern,
characteristic for such a type of antennas.
